**Artist Spotlight** Matt Bold aka Gods M80

Today we would like to shine the God given light on one of the most inspiring, encouraging, and uplifting brothers I know. In which I was given the opportunity to meet. Matt Bold aka Gods M80. Being given the mission to spread the gospel message through music to the masses, Matt Bold been doing just that and doing unselfishly. We at BFM had the privilege to talk with Matt and get to know more about him and his mission God has given him.

So tell us about yourself, who is Matt Bold?

Who is Matt Bold? That's a deep question. I have learned in life that God will allow you to play more rolls if you are willing to follow his lead. I wear many different hats from being a husband of 14 years, a father to 6 amazing children, Christian Hip Hop Artist, Business Man.... The list could go on, however the most important roll is being a child of God who has messed up more times than imaginable that knows he is saved by God's Grace through Jesus Christ!

What are some things to expect from your brand, from you as a person and artist?

I personally never really know what to expect myself. I try and follow Gods lead as I roll down the path. As an artists I have always been a little different. I don't put out as much music as most artists do, because I feel God wants me to be able to focus more on helping other artists along the way. As far as brand. Our brand is "Christian Hip Hop Hits Just as Hard" In the next couple years I would like to see an established clothing line, record label with 4-6 artists, and just the continued amazing unity that we have been blessed with along the way. As a person "I just want to grow" the way God see's fit!

How did it all start for you, when was the eye opening moment that let you know you were made to do ministry?

 I was in church and the assistant pastor at the time "Roy Evens" was speaking on Hebrews 13:8. I personally didn't look at it like an eye opening moment at the time, however after hearing the Love from this man as he talked about Jesus hit me in a way that no one else had ever done. I knew Jesus was not going to change so maybe, just maybe I needed to. I went home with a fire and passion that day and wrote my first Christian Hip Hop track "My Message".

Who are some artists you would like to work with?

Bryann Trejo, I see Christ when I see Bryann. This brother is amazing!
KB, When I met him he seemed genuenly "Humble".
Sevin & Pyrexx on the same track, These brothers reachin the block - That Real Walk!
A few other's would be Dre Murray, Angie Rose, Dillon Chase, and Bizzle!

    That to me would be a nice project to work on!


What's separated you from other artists?

    The main difference I see is I would take the back burner every time if I had to! I believe God told me to not focus on myself as an artist, however to focus on his word and all artists along the way. Water seeds along the way, because sometimes planting your own is not enough!

What's in the future of Matt Bold?

    I know myself and if I knew the future I would probably do something to mess it up. LOL ....I will just trust God to use me!

What motivated you to start "Christianrapz, and the whole Christian hip hop hits just as hard" movement?

God, when he told me to focus on everyone and not just myself. We are all seeds that God chose first. When we work by ourselves some of us can accomplish a lot, however nothing compared to when we work together. That's what its about to me. Unity! When we come together for the kingdom of God he is able to use us to reach further!  Never forget, if you allow God to use you..... he will!
